Endeavour shuttle astronauts successfully completed their second spacewalk early on Sunday to install plumbing for a new technological module of the International Space Station, NASA officials said.

Spacewalkers Robert Behnken and Nicholas Patrick concluded their spacewalk in five hours and 54 minutes, completing all their scheduled tasks, NASA said.

They spent the first part of the spacewalk connecting two ammonia loops, with two lines in each loop, from the Destiny module to Tranquility, hooking the new module to the station's cooling system, and also opened one of those loops to initiate cooling of the module, NASA said.

The pair then installed thermal covers on Tranquility's keel pin and trunnions, to prevent condensation inside the module, outfitted a docking port of Tranquility for the relocation of the cupola module, and installed handrails, NASA said.

Meanwhile, ISS Commander Jeff Williams and other crewmembers continued outfitting Tranquility's interior, including setting up the ventilation system and configuring racks, NASA said.

The astronauts will have to make one more spacewalk to finish installing the Tranquility module and its attached cupola, NASA said.
