MOSCOW, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Russia had mixed success at the French Open on Saturday with Svetlana Kuznetsova continuing her campaign at Roland Garros, while Elena Dementieva bowed out.

It was the number seven seed, Kuznetsova, who lost no time in crushing her Hungarian opponent Melinda Czink in straight sets 6:1, 6:3. The 23-year-old from St. Petersburg will face either Kateryna Bondarenko or Agnieszka Radwanska in the fourth round of the grand slam.

Fourth seed Elena Dementieva emerged the shock loser in a two-hour titanic battle with Samantha Stosur, seeded 30, from Australia. The Olympic champion fought back after losing the first set to take the second, but was unable to hold her serve and went out 6:3, 6:4, 6:1.

Russia's Igor Andreev, seeded 25, is scheduled to play the fifth seed from Argentina Juan Martin Del Potro in the third round later Saturday.
