MOSCOW, May 14 (RIA Novosti) - AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has signed a preliminary agreement to take over at Chelsea when Guus Hiddink's contract expires at the end of the season, the Corriere dello Sport paper claimed on Thursday.

The paper cited sources as saying that Ancelotti's contract would run until 2011, and would be worth some $9 million a season.

The report also said that the 49-year-old coach could announce his decision to quit Milan after the club's match against Udinese this weekend. Victory would guarantee Milan a place in next year's Champions League.

Ancelotti is one of only five men who have won the Champions League, or the European Cup as it was known until 1992, as a player and a coach, triumphing as a midfielder with AC Milan in 1988-89 and 1989-90 and as manager of the side in 2002-03 and 2006-07.

Neither Chelsea, owned by Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich, nor Milan have commented on the report.

Current Chelsea coach Hiddink took over at Stamford Bridge in February on a short-term contract. He is due to return full time to his position as Russian coach after Chelsea's May 30 FA Cup final clash with Everton.
