Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region presents projects in New Delhi

NEW DELHI, November 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region has presented a series of innovative projects at a Russian exhibition in New Delhi this week.

The Russian National Exhibition, running from November 25 to 28, is being held at the India Expo Centre EXPO XXI.

Nizhny Novgorod Regional Governor Valery Shantsev, who represented the region at the show, said: “The BRIC countries [Brazil, Russia, India and China] are currently in a stage of transition, moving over to innovative models of development. In line with this trend, the Nizhny Novgorod Region has presented its most up-to-date products.”

The region, located around 400 km (250 miles) east of Moscow in Russia’s Volga area, gave presentations on small-scale nuclear reactors, including for floating power plants.

The Nizhny Novgorod Region also presented its global positioning equipment for Russia’s Glonass satellite navigation system, rail inspection equipment including crack detectors, and explosive welding technology.
