MOSCOW, August 26 (RIA Novosti) - An international motor show that opens on Tuesday through September 7 in Moscow will see nine global premieres.

The 2008 Moscow car show, to be held on an area of over 120,000 square meters, will rival world-famous A class car expos in Geneva, Paris, London, Detroit and Frankfurt.

The global premieres at the show will include the Mazda Kazamai concept car, the Lexus LS460 AWD sedan, BMW X5 Security, Audi A6, a new version of the popular business class sedan, the Audi RS6 sedan, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV, the Renault Symbol sedan, Skoda Superb V6 3,6 and a new Citroen C4.

The car show will also host European debuts for Ford Escape, Honda Legend, Subaru Impreza and Kia Mohave.

The Fiat 500 is another exhibit that has been long-awaited in Russia. The model was voted Europe's best car in 2007, but will only go on sale in Russia in late August.

Russia's largest carmakers AvtoVAZ and GAZ Group also plan to present new models, including the Lada Sport car, the Lada C-Cross concept car, and the Volga Siber.

Over 1.5 million visitors are expected to attend the Moscow car show.

The first Moscow international motor show was held in 1992. Since 2006, the Crocus Expo exhibition center in western Moscow has been the traditional venue for the annual event.

In the past few years, several auto-industry giants, including Volkswagen, Peugeot-Citroen and Mitsubishi, have established production in Russia.
