MOSCOW, August 13 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Dmitry Sautin and Yury Kunakov won silver on Wednesday in the men's synchronized 3m springboard at the Beijing Olympics.

It was 18-year-old Kunakov's first-ever Olympic medal and the eighth for Sautin, 34, who has picked up two gold, one silver and four bronze medals since he began his Olympic diving career in Barcelona in 1992.

But once again it was the hosts China who took the gold with reigning champions Qin Kai and Wang Feng giving an outstanding performance to score a total of 469.08 points far ahead of the Russian duo with 421.98.

This is the fourth straight gold for China in the diving events and keeps the country's dream of winning all eight diving gold medals alive.

The bronze went to Ukraine's Ilya Kvasha and Oleksiy Prygorov, who finished the event with 415.05 points.
