Net private capital outflow from Russia in 3Q07 hits $9.4 bln -1

MOSCOW, October 3 (RIA Novosti) - Net private capital outflow from Russia in the third quarter of 2007 totaled $9.4 billion, the Central Bank of Russia said on its Web site Wednesday.

Net capital outflow from companies in the non-financial sector was at $10.1 billion in the reporting period, while net capital inflow by banks was $0.7 billion.

In the first quarter of the year, capital inflow was $13.5 billion. In the second quarter, net capital inflow hit a record $52.7 billion, with banks accounting for $36.8 billion and the non-financial sector $15.8 billion.

Net private capital inflow in the first nine months of this year was $56.8 billion.

Net private capital inflow in 2006 was $40.1 billion, as compared to $0.1 billion in 2005. Prior to 2005, private capital inflow was negative.
