MOSCOW, May 14 (RIA Novosti) -- LUKoil [RTS: LKOH] said Monday its gross hydrocarbon production grew 7.3% in the first three months of this year, year-on-year, to 2.2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Russia's largest private oil company produced a total of 24.4 million metric tons of oil, up 6.3% year-on-year.
LUKoil said its associated gas output was 3.6 billion cubic meters, up 14% year-on-year, while its natural gas production was 2.5 billion cubic meters, up 16.6%.
LUKoil is the world's second-largest oil producer by proven hydrocarbon reserves, estimated at the equivalent of 20 billion barrels of oil, including about 16 billion barrels of oil and 25 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
