VLADIVOSTOK, June 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russian and Chinese companies signed contracts worth $2.5 billion at an international trade and economic fair which closed in Harbin in northeast China Saturday.
A spokesman for Russia's presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District said the sides had also signed agreements on establishing five joint ventures to produce furniture, assemble Kamaz trucks and export energy equipment to China.
Presidential envoy Kamil Iskhakov said bilateral trade was growing annually.
"Our countries have set the goal of increasing bilateral trade to $60 billion by 2010. I believe that in reality this figure would be higher."
