NOVO-OGARYOVO, December 29 (RIA Novosti) - Real household income rose by almost 10% in 2005, and the trend is expected to continue into 2006, the Russian finance minister said Thursday.

Alexei Kudrin said that the real level of household incomes in the budget-financed and non-budget-dependent spheres rose by 9.4% and grew faster than inflation.

"The level of household income in 2007 will exceed the record high registered in the best years before the 1990s, that is, before the crisis," Kudrin said.

The average monthly wage in Russia stood at 6,828 rubles (about $237) in 2004.
