SAMSUN (Turkey), November 17 (RIA Novosti) - Oil and natural gas production, transportation and sales will be cooperation priorities for Russian natural gas monopoly Gazprom and Italian energy giant ENI, Gazprom's deputy chief executive said.
Alexander Medvedev said Gazprom and ENI, equal partners in the Blue Stream Pipeline Company, would sign a memorandum on cooperation in the next two weeks.
He did not rule out the possibility of ENI involvement in the work of Russian oil producers, including Sibneft.
Medvedev said Gazprom was also interested in oil and natural gas sales in Italy, as well as LNG cooperation with ENI.
"ENI is a major figure on the LNG market, and we are interested in such assets," he said adding that this issue was also included in the memorandum.
Medvedev also said the two companies "did not plan to sign long-term agreements on oil supplies yet."
