Over $350 million budgeted for RRJ project in 2005-06 - Fradkov

KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR, November 5 (RIA Novosti) - More than 10 billion rubles ($350.21 million) will be provided for the Russian Regional Jet project in 2005-06, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov said Saturday. "Serious money will be provided for the RRJ project," said Fradkov, who is on a visit to the Gagarin Aviation Production Association in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Russia's Far East. "More than 10 billion rubles will come from the federal budget within the next two years," he added. "One key to success is series production," the prime minister said. Asked what needed to be done to develop Russian exports, Fradkov stressed: "It is essential to make superior products and assist export producers." "An enterprise cannot go it alone. Civilian and military contracts are necessary," Fradkov said.
