MOSCOW, October 3 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Federal Service for the Oversight of Transportation has resumed flights of Il-96-300 aircraft after an investigation of the fleet revealed defects in the braking system, the Transportation Ministry said Monday.
Federal Industry Agency head Boris Alyoshin said earlier that the inquiry found 11 critical safety-related problems.
The flights could not have been resumed earlier because the delivery of components necessary for the adjustments was postponed, Alyoshin said.
Il-96-300 flights were suspended August 22.
