ZHUKOVSKY (Moscow region), August 17 (RIA Novosti) - The volume of military production exports of Russia's MiG aircraft-manufacturing corporation has grown since the beginning of 2005 by 19% as compared to the same period last year, a MiG spokesman said Wednesday.

"From October 2004 to August 2005, foreign clients have received 37 new, modernized, or repaired planes. For the same period in 2003-2004, clients received 19 aircraft," the spokesman said.

The company currently has over $1 billion in orders with a possibility of more growth. Over 70 contracts have been arranged since the end of 2004 totaling more than $255 million.
