MOSCOW, July 26 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) has adopted new regulations in accordance with the requirements of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Charter, the ROC President said Tuesday.
Leonid Tyagachyov said that the number of the ROC executive committee members was reduced from 400 to 230 and the ROC Bureau was abolished, transferring its responsibilities to the executive committee.
The limitations on heads of government structures were cancelled, meaning government heads now have the right to run for ROC president.
