MOSKOVSKY VILLAGE (Moscow region), June 18 (RIA Novosti) - The 11th extraordinary congress of the Communist Party (KPRF), the largest opposition party in Russia, will be held on October 29, KPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov said at the plenum of the party's central committee.

According to him, the extraordinary congress is caused by the necessity to conform the KPRF regulations to the law On Political Parties. "We must do it," he said.

The congress will also focus on the results of the public referendum and the KPRF youth policy, Zyuganov said adding that the party would have held a number of protest rallies by the congress.

Speaking about KPRF preparations for the upcoming 2007-2008 elections, Zyuganov said: "The Communist Party will get ready for all elections - from local to parliamentary and presidential." "We are drafting a program to unite all forces who are concerned over Russia's future."

Zyuganov denied allegations that the party groups had different biases. "All groups belong to the left wing," he said. "The party studies experience of different countries, argues and makes decisions." There may be differences in opinions of KPRF members, he added.
