MOSCOW, May 1 (RIA Novosti) - Interaction between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad (ROCOR) is gaining momentum, representative of the Protohierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad in Moscow, Bishop of Boston Mikhail told RIA Novosti during the trip of a Russian delegation to Jerusalem to get the Holy Fire.

"The interaction is expanding. I think the important thing today is to make interaction a habit. For obvious reasons, such interaction has been impossible in the past," the Bishop said.

He said, joint events, initiated by the Russian St. Andrew Fund, such as the transfer of the sacred relics of Grand Duchesses Elizabeth and Sister Barbara to Moscow and the delivery of the Holy Fire from Jerusalem for the Easter celebrations in Moscow, help the interaction and bring the ROCOR and the Moscow Patriarchate closer together.

"In the last year or maybe year-and-a half, such developments met only positive response, and that is what matters the most," the Bishop of Boston added.

He refused to state the possible dates for the final reestablishment of the church unity because the notion of "when" is rather inappropriate when it comes to the Church matters.
