MOSCOW, March 2 (RIA Novosti) - Yukos has lost another fiscal claim. It will have to pay 192.5 billion ruble extra taxes for 2002. Today's Central Bank rate is R27.71/$1.

The fiscal arrears were appointed by Interregional Inspection No. 1 for major taxpayers under the Federal Taxation Service. The company appealed against it. Moscow's Arbitration Court of Appeal No. 9 approved the inspection decision today. The same verdict confirms legality of a 71.2 billion ruble penalty for 2002.

The verdict can be appealed within the next two months.

Fiscal bodies' resolution of November 16, 2004, appointed Yukos tax arrears for 2002 at 193.8 billion rubles. The company challenged the decision. Moscow's City Arbitration Court confirmed it, December 16, reducing the claim by a token 1.275 billion rubles. The verdict also confirmed a Federal Taxation Service suit for 71.2 billion ruble penalties. The rest of the sum was to be collected off Yukos accounts without recourse to the court.

Yukos appealed against the verdicts. Its claim was dismissed today.
