Russia's President will attend summits of the Eurasec, or Eurasian Economic Community, of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan; and of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, which brings together Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Both events envisage limited and extended attendance sessions.
The President has been invited to an opening gala of new Russian Embassy premises.
Mr. Putin will also meet Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev on a bilateral arrangement to discuss fuel-and-energy partnership, says Sergei Prikhodko, Russian presidential aide.
"Russia is interested in dynamic work-not only on the Caspian shelf but in oil piping," he said to Novosti.
Russian-Kazakh frontier delimitation will also be in the agenda foreground. "There are no problems here. The job is more complicated than we should like, true-but consent has been reached on about 90 per cent of the frontier stretches," reassured Prikhodko. The two countries' presidents have scheduled frontier delimitation paper coordination for the year's end, and the Kremlin finds the deadline quite realistic.
The two presidents are also expected to debate united economic environment blueprints for Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Eurasec-related matters and anti-drug combat will also come up for discussion. The summiteers may also evaluate prospects to update Kazakh air defence, expects Mr. Prikhodko.
President Putin had a busy day in Tashkent, Uzbek capital, before flying to Kazakhstan-he attended a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and had bilateral conferences with Presidents Hu Jintao of China and Askar Akayev of Kyrgyzstan.
