During the Friday talks in Moscow, the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia agreed to a humanitarian ceasefire; however, the parties to the conflict have repeatedly accused each other of violating the truce.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan are holding a joint press conference following talks in Moscow on Monday.

Lavrov already met Mnatsakanyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Friday for trilateral consultations to reach a humanitarian ceasefire in the ongoing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Fighting in the Nagotrno-Karabakh broke out on 27 September when both the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides accused each other of provocations along the line of contact.
