Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi on Thursday signed a decree on the establishment of the country's Permanent Mission to NATO, local media reported.

CAIRO (Sputnik) Egypt's Ambassador to Belgium Ehab Fawzy was appointed the head of the mission, MENA news agency reported.

According to media reports, earlier in the month, Chief of Egypt’s General Staff Gen. Mahmoud Hegazy met with Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Gen. Petr Pavel in Cairo.
