Canada's Trudeau Bound for CETA Signing Turns Around Due to Plane Problems

Canadian prime minister is heading to Belgium to sign the trade agreement at the rescheduled EU-Canada summit on Sunday after the initial signing ceremony set for October 27 was derailed by the refusal of the Belgian region of Wallonia to let Belgium finalize the deal.

CETA aims to eliminate the vast majority of the existing tariffs between the European Union and Canada, but the opponents fear that it might negatively affect standards and regulations on environmental protection, health, safety and workers' rights.
