Russia-Egypt flights may resume in the end of 2016 or early next year, Russian Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko said on Thursday following the meeting with Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament Ali Abdel Alem.

Russian, Syrian Air Forces Ceased Flights Over Aleppo During Last Week
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The press service added that the parties were engaged in a dialogue on the issue consistent with the spirit of friendly relations and agreed that security was the principal issue of the negotiations.

"The sides have discussed the development of bilateral relations, addressed the issue of resumption of air traffic between the two countries. The Federation Council speaker said that it may take place either in the end of this year or in the beginning of the next year," the Federation Council press service quoted Matvienko in a statement.
