MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The report released by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Wednesday claimed that the plane was downed by a missile fired from a Buk launcher, which had been brought from Russia and located in southeastern Ukrainian territory held by the local militias.
Speaking to the BBC World television channel, Lavrov said that the technical details and testaments on which the report was based came from social media and unnamed witnesses. The minister expressed hope that the information provided by Russia would be taken into account in the investigation.
The probe is not over, and therefore speaking of culprits is immature, Lavrov said.
