Afghanistan and Russia are discussing the possibility of intelligence data exchange, Afghanistan's Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Karzai said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) Karzai had a series of meetings in the Russian Foreign Ministry earlier on Friday to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues.

"We also discussed the possibility of intelligence data exchange…My visit here was very successful and productive," Karzai told reporters.

He also expressed hope that Afghani and Russian presidents would be able to hold a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation organization summit in Tashkent on June 23-24.
