CAIRO (Sputnik) – Egyptian authorities have apologized to an Atlanta university professor and veterinarian, Ibrahim Samaha, for misidentifying him as the hijacker of the EgyptAir commercial jet that is currently located on the ground in Larnaca, Cyprus, ON-TV reported Tuesday, citing the Egyptian prime minister’s press service.
“We apologize to Mr. Ibrahim Samaha for his name accidently being tied to the situation with the airplane,” the TV broadcaster reported.
