    Six US F-15 fighter jets temporarily deployed to Turkey’s Incirlik Airbase will begin returning to the Lakenheath Airbase in Great Britain, the United States European Command Headquarters said in a news release Wednesday.

    STUTTGART (Sputnik) – The Air Force F-15 Eagles and Strike Eagles deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, are returning to RAF Lakenheath, UK, beginning Dec. 16, the release said.

    Six F-15Cs arrived in Turkey on November 6 to conduct training and operational missions to support the Turkish military and its airspace.

    On November 12, the six fighters participated in Operation Inherent Resolve in Syria and Iraq.
