GORKI (Moscow Region) (Sputnik) – The Russian Cabinet is preparing a list of foodstuffs that will be banned for import from Turkey, mostly fruits and vegetables, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said Monday.
“We are finalizing the list and if we’re speaking of agricultural goods, then we’re talking about two main groups, the first being vegetables, including tomatoes and other types of vegetables, and the second – fruits,” Dvorkovich said during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev outside Moscow.
Dvorkovich said there may be other products put on the list of sanctioned goods, but fruits and vegetables would be the main ones.
“We are not currently suggesting limitations on industrial goods. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has been given instructions to create a possible list of limitations that we can implement if necessary,” Dvorkovich added.
