At Least 30 Killed in Double Terrorist Attack in Syria

At least 30 people were killed on Monday in two car bomb attacks in the northeastern Syrian city of Hasakah, state television reports.

The first explosion took place near the north-eastern entrance to the city, controlled by Kurdish YPG forces. "Ten people were killed, 25 sustained injuries," the source told RIA Novosti.

"The second explosion took place in the city center exactly half an hour later. A tank with 5 tonnes of explosives blew up, at least 20 people were killed, dozens were injured," the source added. A senior local official is said to be among the victims.
