BELFAST, September 11 (RIA Novosti), Mark Hirst – Anyone intent on causing violence at an anti-Scottish independence march and rally to be held in Glasgow next weekend should "stay away," the deputy leader of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland, the parade organizer and Northern Ireland's biggest loyalist, protestant organization, told RIA Novosti Thursday.

"The message is simple. No matter who you are, no matter what side of the debate you claim to be on, if you have trouble in mind on Saturday - stay away," Orange Order grand chaplain the Reverend Mervyn Gibson said.

"On Saturday there will be no trouble from anyone on parade - the parade will be peaceful and dignified," Gibson added.

"Anyone who is coming along with violence on their agenda is no supporter or friend of the Loyal Order no matter what they claim," Gibson said.

Asked if there was potential for the Orange Order to follow a suggestion made by Jack Ramsay, the former Secretary General of the Orange Order of Scotland, who claimed his organization might become a terrorist organization opposed to independence following a Yes vote, Gibson said that "The Orange Institution is a democratic organization - I don't envisage circumstances, no matter what the outcome, where its members would become involved in anything unlawful."

"The key message is no matter what faith or denomination you claim, your ethnic origin, or your political allegiance, if you value the Union come out and vote No," Gibson added.

Gibson was speaking after growing concern the march, expected to attract 10,000 Scottish Orange Order members, plus an additional 2,000 from Northern Ireland, will lead to disorder and violence.

The parade comes ahead of the vote, which many Scots waited for years. Scots go to the polls on September 18 and will be asked one question, "Should Scotland be an independent country?"
