Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker said on Tuesday the visa regime between Russia and the EU should be eased as soon as possible.
Juncker said after a meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi that "it is necessary to find a solution to the visa issue as soon as possible."
"We've dragged this out for too long," he added.
Russia handed over a draft agreement on scrapping the visa regime to the EU at the Russia-EU summit in Rostov-on-Don on May 31-June 1.
