She said two flights to Moscow were to take place on Saturday and another six on Sunday, adding a total of 1760 people cannot leave the country.

Only one flight could take place on Sunday, while seven others were postponed to Monday, she added.

Earlier, thousands of air passengers, including Russians, were reported stranded at Geneva airport in Switzerland due to heavy snow.
