ASTANA, July 5 (RIA Novosti) - The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is not issuing any ultimatums concerning the withdrawal of international antiterrorism troops from its member states, but wants a clear timeframe for their withdrawal, a source said Tuesday.

A member of the Russian delegation to the summit now underway in the Kazakh capital, Astana, commented on the declaration issued by the SCO leaders that called for a timeframe to be set for the withdrawal of foreign military contingents conducting antiterrorist operations in Afghanistan.

"This is not an ultimatum. We just need to know how long the countries within the coalition will use the relevant infrastructure in SCO countries to conduct the antiterrorist campaign in Afghanistan," the official said.

"This is an issue of practical importance to Russia, as well as the countries where the contingents are deployed. We need a clear answer to the question," he said.
