Although what animals perceive when they see something is still something of a mystery, some animals seem to recognise other living creatures on pictures or videos, which is fascinating, and, quite frankly, can produce some hilarious results.

A puzzled chicken named Nugget has engaged in a rooster fight with an unexpected opponent - a chicken pictured on its owner's sock. The bird was filmed pecking at its rival, seemingly put out that the lily-livered scoundrel wouldn't fight back.

Perhaps Nugget, who is lucky to live in a house, wants its owner's undivided attention and can't bear the thought of not being the only cock of the walk.
