All babies need plenty of sleep in order to grow up to be healthy and strong. Moreover, good sleep also helps recharge one's batteries before a day full of crazy adventures. Golden retriever puppies, just like human babies, are sleepier than their adult counterparts, often requiring 18-19 hours of sleep per day, usually waking up for an hour after every few hours of sleep. So it's best to let this sleeping dog lie. Just resist the urge to cuddle up on the couch, and let him drift off to slumberland.
