The first humanitarian aid convoy of 42 trucks arrived in the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor on September 7 after the three-year-long Daesh siege was broken just two days previously.

The convoy delivered food, fuel and essential medications to the residents. The same day, Russia sent a new convoy with humanitarian aid to the city.
