When a fire broke out on the bank of the South Thompson River in Kamloops, British Columbia, one nimble-minded man came up with an unconventional way to put the blaze out. Using his watercraft to spray water, he tried to douse the fire before authorities arrived.

According to Lorrie Jane, who captured it on video as she was out boating on the river with her family, the boat had about eight goes at spraying the flames with the water it propelled behind itself.
