Russian President Dmitry Medvedev took a dip in the holy waters of the Jordan River to mark the Orthodox feast of Epiphany, which coincided with the second day of his Middle East visit. He washed his face with water from the Jordan, where according to biblical texts, Jesus Christ was baptized. However, the Russian leader refused to immerse himself in the river in front of journalists.
