World’s best baristas compete in coffee making in London

London has hosted the World Barista Championship, a high-profile coffee-making competition, for the first time.
Each participant had only 15 minutes to make four espressos and cappuccinos and unusual coffee-based drinks in front of excited viewers and a strict and competent jury, which evaluated the professional techniques used by the baristas and the taste of their products.
The guests at the championship also had an opportunity to visit an exhibition of products for caterers, including vintage coffee machines with barometers, as well as cutting-edge computerized coffee-makers. Also on display is a mobile bicycle-café, the most environmentally friendly exhibit at the international coffee show.
