    Putin on Internet Restrictions: 'We Should Be Guided by State of Our Society'

    Vladimir Putin said that Internet restrictions should be in line with the society development level.

    ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — Restrictions on the Internet should correspond to the society development level, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday.

    "We should be guided by the state of our society," Putin said at a media forum when asked whether Russia should copy China's Internet restrictions model or follow its own path.

    The Russian president added that China's model should not criticized.
