Putin Launches Gas Supply to Crimea From Mainland Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday launched gas supply to the Crimea from mainland Russia via a video conference after the completion of work to connect the gas transportation system of the peninsula to the Russian Federation's trunk gas pipelines.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The launch of the pipeline will ensure an uninterrupted supply of gas to all categories of consumers of the Crimea through the pipeline's integration into the peninsula's existing gas transportation system.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier Tuesday that Putin would take part in the ceremony to launch the gas supply to Crimea via a video conference.
