Russian Colonel Killed in Aleppo - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Defense Ministry said Monday that militants of the so-called Syrian opposition attacked a Russian mobile military hospital in Aleppo, killing two Russian military medics and wounding one. Local residents also sustained wounds.

On December 7, the Defense Ministry said Russian military adviser Colonel Galitsky, who died of wounds he sustained during shelling by militants of the so-called opposition of a residential quarter of Aleppo, had been helping the Syrian army to train servicemen and master military hardware.

"For courage and valor shown during the performance of military and service duty, award the Order of Courage to professor Vadim Arsentyev, Col. Ruslan Galitsky (posthumously), Sgt. Nadezhda Durachenko (posthumously), Sgt. Galina Mikhailova (posthumously) and Col. Eduard Skvortsov," the presidential decree said.
