The construction of a bridge from mainland Russia to Crimea is prearranged, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Western countries have not recognized the legitimacy of the 2014 vote on the reunification of Crimea with Russia, having imposed several rounds of sanctions on Russia.

"We will put the necessary focus on the most important federal highways and construction of the objects of national importance, the bridge to Crimea. Its construction is on schedule," Putin said during his annual address to the Russian parliament.
