MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A police squad was attacked on Monday in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, with one attacker being killed, an Interior Ministry representative in the republic told RIA Novosti on Monday.
The shooting took place at about 5 a.m. local time (02:00 GMT).
"A man, who is not yet identified, opened fire at the police. He was shot dead. None of the police officers were injured," the representative said.
The representative noted that the law enforcers found a vehicle not far from the place of shooting and are trying to establish whether it belonged to the killed attacker.
