Ex-Yukos CEO Mikhail Khodokovsky's press service website was hacked on Monday amid the announcement of the former oil tycoon's sentencing.

"Tech support specialists told us that the website [khodorkovsky.ru.] was unavailable due to a DDos attack," a spokesperson for Khodorkovsky's press service said without defining the company which hosts the website. Currently, there is access to the website, but it is hampered.

According to accessible information, the server which hosts khodorkovsky.ru is located in San Francisco.

The organization of a DDos attack involving a network of 1,000 computers costs $20 in Russia, according to a Moscow information security company, Group-IB. A cyber attack with the intensity of 20 Gb per second costs some 200-500 euros per day.

Khodorkovsky and his business partner Platon Lebedev were declared guilty by Judge Viktor Danilkin at the culmination of their second new trial in Moscow's Khamovniki Court. The Khamovniki Court said Khodorkovsky and Lebedev had headed an organized group committing financial crimes in Russia's oil business via their oil company Yukos.
