CHITA, December 18 (RIA Novosti) - A drunk driver crashed into a house in southeast Siberia's Zabaikalsky Territory killing all five passengers, a local emergencies spokesman said on Thursday.

The 27-year-old driver, who lost control of his Toyota Corolla vehicle late on Wednesday, "crashed into a residential building," but managed to survive, he said.

Three men and two women aged between 30 and 44 years were killed. The accident occurred in the village of Maloarkhangelskoye in the Kransochikoysk district.

A spokesman for the local traffic police said the driver had knocked down three telegraph poles and a fence before crashing into the house.

The driver "was hospitalized with concussion and is in a stable condition," the spokesman said.

The spokesman said no one was injured in the house, adding that "all those in the car were drunk."
