SAMARA, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - Six people, including a four-month-old baby, died in a road accident in the Samara Region, in Russia's Volga area, on Thursday, a spokesman for a local emergency medical center said.
The accident occurred early on Thursday when a driver of a Lada swerved into oncoming traffic and smashed into a Daewoo Nexia.
Three people, including the driver of the Daewoo Nexia and his four-month-old son, died instantly.
Four other people were taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries, but three of them later died. The fourth person, a woman, is in a critical condition in intensive care, the spokesman added.
An accident investigation is underway.
