MOSCOW, February 15 (RIA Novosti) - Rescuers have found four dead climbers who went missing earlier in the Sayan mountain range in southern Siberia, the Emergencies Ministry said Thursday.
A group of seven mountain climbers from Krasnoyarsk in East Siberia fell off a cliff Wednesday in the Tashtyp District, the Republic of Khakassia, in Siberia's south.
"An Mi-8 helicopter of the Siberian regional emergencies center with a team of rescuers arrived at the scene. Four bodies were found. Two people are alive but in serious condition. One person is missing," a spokesman for the emergency services said.
He said the climbers had not registered with the local rescue service before setting off on the expedition.
