YEKATERINBURG, March 24 (RIA Novosti) - Police in the West Siberian city of Yekaterinburg have arrested a man suspected of having murdered several woman, local law-enforcement officials said Friday.
"A man born in 1976 was arrested on Thursday in the Kirov District [of Yekaterinburg]," a local police source said. "It has been established that he committed the murder of eight women, some of whom were raped. The victims were aged between 27 and 43."
The murders were committed in February, the source said, adding that a criminal case had been opened.
The suspect also stands accused of theft, the source said.
