MOSCOW, December 26 (RIA Novosti) - The Moscow City Court has upheld the arrest warrant issued in absentia for Dmitry Gololobov, a lawyer for the embattled oil major Yukos, who is accused of embezzling and laundering about $416.9 million.
The court did not uphold the writ of appeal filed by Gololobov's defense lawyer.
"The Basmanny court's November 30, 2005 ruling to arrest Dmitry Gololobov shall be left intact and the writ of appeal shall be rejected," the judge said.
Gololobov is currently on the international wanted list.
